SINGER / SONGWRITER ARTIST DEVELOPMENT COACHING

Extremely unique way of approaching the process. No big/long term legal commitment, development contract, loss of intellectual property etc, just a month to month arrangement much like piano lessons!

This service comes in two versions, In-person (in my studio here in Vancouver) or online via Zoom or Sessionwire. Also provided in either two hour per week (local) or one or two hour per week sessions via Zoom or Sessionwire.  

I essentially become your personal coach and sounding board!

In addition to the weekly sessions, I have direct connections to three major publishers (one who is also collaborating with me on these monthly lessons) and other A list mentors (Producers, Musicians, Consultants) that I will be glad to connect you with if and when you are genuinely prepared and ready to do so.

Arrangement is month to month. All I ask from you is if you feel the arrangement isn’t working out to your satisfaction you will give me 30 days notice to cancel. That said, all my clients are expressing how much this is working for them and it is exactly what they needed. So if this is working out to your satisfaction, please spread the good word!

(FYI All of this songwriting, artist development and coaching process is necessary BEFORE you record expensive demos, look for a manager, producer etc. If this process isn’t worked on and completed properly you are wasting time and money moving forward with anything else!)

IN EACH SESSION WE:

• exchange Google docs to start organizing your songs (if you don’t know how to do this I’ll show as part of my coaching system / great ancillary skill you should possess anyway!)

• organize your song catalogue to make it publisher demo ready

• work on your songwriting to improve your existing songs and to prepare you to write better new songs

• work on basic music theory, song structure

• go over basic music business and publishing concepts and how to protect your music

• work on your voice and performance

• keep you on task, provide and set homework foreach week

• record simple one mic recordings weekly to monitor progress and avoid losing content

• record a professional quality acoustic demo (every three songs properly completed)

• mentor how to record an efficient cost effective demo on your own Spreadsheets Templates, Lyric Sheet Templates, To Do/Progress Lists, Songwriting Resources, Recording and Business how-to’s are all provided. No extra costs.
